THESSALONIANS
CHAPTER 2
Apostasy is to precede the Second Coming—Gospel prepares men for eternal glory.
1 NOW we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [ The great and dreadful day of the Lord or the second coming. ] shall not come, except [ Not until or after. ] there come a falling away [ Apostasy of the early christian church. A departure from the original gospel. Which will need to be restored, which includes that restoration of the 10 tribes Articles of Faith 10: We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. ] first, [ It will not happen u til after there is a destruction of faith globally. ] and that man of sin [ Lucifer. ] be revealed, [ We as members of the church often leap right off of the first part of thise scripture, but wait there is more. We take things out of context to prove a point of the restoration, but the verse continues that Satan must be revealed to us. The world will come to see and know him first hand by what they see him do. ] the son of perdition; [ The stout Horn. ]
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God [ Appears to be like a God, it is hard to tell that he is not a God. As he does what God does, but Paul says "as God" close but not a God. ] sitteth in the temple of God, [ He will sit in the temple of God in order to shew that he is God. ] shewing himself that he is God.
[ Shewing himself, or proving to himself and others that he has the power to do so. So if he has that power then he must be God right? The first Abomination of desolation resulted in the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem JSM 1:9-18. And so the second Abomination of desolation will result in the desecration of the Temple of God. As awful, as this will be for those who know will know that it is a sign that God will have had enough and he is on his way to set things right- Satan has had his day. Because very quickly the heavens will shake and the son of Man will return JSM 1:27-36. ]
7 For the mystery [ Mystery in Greek is "Musterion" which means: The counsels of God once hidden but now revealed, in the gospel or some fact thereof; the Christian revelation generally; particular truths or details of the Christian revelation. When we say "mystery" we might as well say ordinances. This is from Greek Mysterion (usually in plural mysteria) "secret right or doctrine (known and practiced by certain initiated persons only) consisting of purifications, sacrificial offerings, processions, songs, etc." from mystes "one who has been initiated," Myein "to close shut" (see nute(adj.)); perhaps referring to the lips (in secrecy) or to the eyes (only initiates were allowed to see the sacred rites). (Online Etymology Dictionary) So mystery as we know it today has been perverted to resemble something in a mystery novel when it came from the ancients to mean sacred rights, and initiations. So as we find in the scriptures that the word mystery is always tied to some form of Salvation and or sacred rights. ] of iniquity doth already work: [ IV: and he it is who worketh, and Christ suffereth him to work. Why does Christ allow him to work then? So that the wicked may come forth and reveal themselves. Since no unclean thing can dwell in his presence then there must needs be a great sifting before he comes. See vs 10-12. ] only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked [ This Anti-christ. ] be revealed,[ Manifested. ] whom
the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy [ Cast out of his presence, which is spititual death or destruction. ] with the
brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, [ This man who is empowered by Satan to do wild and crazy things, beyond belief, that cannot be explained. Part of the reason why they will be decieved is becaise they do not even know that he is coming. So without that knowledge how would you not believe him. ] whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[ God will allow the inversion of truth and the idea of false philosophy to prevail that man may choose. Man needs to either live by the absolute spirit of truth or he will not prevail. This last day challenge will be to prove men, which side that they choose. Just as in the war in heaven there cannot be any fence sitters, and in order to do that the choice will need to be tough. or “God allows for powerful delusion” . This will be done with the idea that Immoral behavior is celebrated; Biblical commands are derided. Christopher Columbus is trashed because of his racist beliefs. What inconsistency! Satan is the father of lies and the master of deceit. ]
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, [ It is their choice. The people will choose sides on their own, it is a matter of what you want to believe in part. If you want to believe that there is no accountability, that you are free to choose wickedness then that will be your selection. ] but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
[ Those who took pleasure in doing the things that God originally asked them not to do. Included are those who do not repent, they do not beieve that they need to or that God exists in order to grant them forgiveness. This is the creed to which Satanists subscribe. Who and what does a satanist believe that Satan is? Who is satan? They believe that
It he is that Angel who was proud enough to believe himself God; brave enough to buy his independence at the price of eternal sufferring and torture; beautiful enough to have adored himself in full divine light; strong enough to still reign in darkness amisdt agony, and to have made himself a throne out of his inextinguishable pyre.
Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike; For the Initiates, this is not a Person, but a force, created for good, but which may serve for evil. It is the instrument of LIberty or Free Will.
They believe that Lucifer made a sacrifice, it was not sin or disgrace but rather an act of great sacrifice, means light-bearer. ]
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you,
brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the
beginning chosen you to salvation [members of the church were foreordained to be sabed in the celestial kingdom, they were chosen in the pre-existence Doc NT Comm vol III pg 64.] through sanctification of
the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel,
to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [ In other words - of we live and keep the laws of the Gospel - we can be joint-heirs with Jesus Christ in all that our father has - including the inheritence of all glory, all power, a might, and all dominion. we will be just like him]
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
