1 AND it came to pass that he begat Omer, and Omer reigned in his stead. And Omer begat Jared; and Jared begat sons and daughters.

2 And Jared rebelled against his father, [ What was the cause of his rebellion? From the sound of things is was most likely that it was due to greed. vs 7 ] and came and dwelt in the land of Heth. And it came to pass that he did flatter many people, because of his cunning words, until he had gained the half of the kingdom.

3 And when he had gained the half of the kingdom he gave battle unto his father, and he [ Jared ] did carry away his father into captivity, and did make him serve in captivity; [ What does that tell you about the man? ]

4 And now, in the days of the reign of Omer he was in captivity the half of his days. And it came to pass that he begat sons and daughters, among whom were Esrom and Coriantumr;

5 And they were exceedingly angry because of the doings of Jared their brother, insomuch that they did raise an army and gave battle unto Jared. And it came to pass that they did give battle unto him by night.

6 And it came to pass that when they had slain the army of Jared they were about to slay him also; and he plead with them that they would not slay him, and he would give up the kingdom unto his father. And it came to pass that they did grant unto him his life.

7 And now Jared became exceedingly sorrowful because of the loss of the kingdom, [ Not for anything else that he had done. Does this show us where his heart still is? ] for he had set his heart upon the kingdom and upon the glory of the world.

8 Now the daughter of Jared being exceedingly expert, and seeing the sorrows of her father, thought to devise a plan whereby she could redeem the kingdom unto her father.

9 Now the daughter of Jared was exceedingly fair. [ Very nice to look at. She knew it - too. So that gives us an idea of her character. She knows how to use her looks to get what she wants - most likely has done it before. ] . And it came to pass that she did talk with her father, and said unto him: Whereby hath my father so much sorrow? Hath he not read the record which our fathers brought across the great deep? Behold, is there not an account concerning them of old, that they by their secret plans did obtain kingdoms and great glory? [ Again - secret combinations that are essentially designed to get gain without work. These secret combinations were brought from the old world, they knew what they were as they would have been common. These included decorations, (shadowing of the eye) with antimony, ornamentation, the beautifying of the eyelids, all kinds of precious stones, and all coloring tinctures and alchemy. And there were many wicked ones and they committed adultery and erred, and all their conduct became corrupt” (1 Enoch 8:1–2) “magic”: sorcery, charms, the cutting of roots, and plant lore, advancements in human technology—including the mention of metallurgy and the crafting of instruments—as a segue to discuss forbidden knowledge revealed by Satan. All of which are explicitly traced back to the covenant that Cain entered into with Satan. All of which will later lead to the destruction od this people (Ether 8:21). That is why Moroni chose to put this hear so that we can see the destruction of these secret combinations. ]

10 And now, therefore, let my father send for Akish, the son of Kimnor; and behold, I am fair, and I will dance before him, and I will please him, [ I know how to entice him to want me. ] that he will desire me to wife; wherefore if he shall desire of thee that ye shall give unto him me to wife, then shall ye say: I will give her if ye will bring unto me the head of my father, the king. [ How corrupt is that, where you would have your own father killed so that you could have more power and riches. Death for money. ]

11 And now Omer was a friend to Akish; wherefore, when Jared had sent for Akish, the daughter of Jared danced before him that she pleased him, insomuch that he desired her to wife. And it came to pass that he said unto Jared: Give her unto me to wife.

12 And Jared said unto him: I will give her unto you, if ye will bring unto me the head of my father, the king.

13 And it came to pass that Akish gathered in unto the house of Jared all his kinsfolk, [ So we have a group. ] and said unto them: Will ye swear unto me that ye will be faithful unto me in the thing which I shall desire of you? [ The first part of any secret combination (combination - made with many - in this case "all his kinsfolk") is that you insure that those who are aware of it are sworn to allegiance. If they break this oath they know that death is on their head as well. The secret oaths and combinations are Satans way of mocking the endowment. We make oaths and covenants with God and they are just between God and us, and we commit that we would rather dies than tell them to someone. The secret combinations are made with a group and if one tells them to another or does not do what he pledges to do then the others can kill him. The process was the same as that of Cain, based on ‘secrecy’ for their protection from the law and judgement. In the case of Cain and Akish, both first swore by the God of heaven, then performed the oaths (symbols and signs of death) and entered into a mutual commitment—a combined or group promise of secrecy secured by an oath of death if broken. This group promise or combination is used to maintain the secrecy necessary to accomplish the evil by ‘a collective conspiracy,’ where the evil action, protection, secrecy, administration, and execution of the oath are all done, by and for, the combined members of the group (see verse 14 below). This is called in scripture a “combination.” ]

14 And it came to pass that they all sware unto him, [ They made a covenant with the group. ] by the God of heaven, and also by the heavens, and also by the earth, and by their heads, [ They made an oath. Oath in Hebrew means symbol or form of death or sacrifice. ] that whoso should vary from the assistance which Akish desired [ If you did not do as the leader instructed. ] should lose his head; [ The form of death declared in the oath. ] and whoso should divulge [ If you did not keep all things secret. ] whatsoever thing Akish made known unto them, the same should lose his life. [ Does it sound like gang membership? Once you are a made member then you subscribe to the same oaths and once a member you are a member for life - there is almost no way out. ]

15 And it came to pass that thus they did agree with Akish. And Akish did administer unto them the oaths [ The ritual. Hebrew "oath" is always a symbol of death or sacrifice for those who commit to something. "I cross my heart and hope to die" is an oath that many of us participated in as youth, this is an example of an oath. ( Mafia initiation ritual) The new recruit is led into the presence of other members and presented by a member. The association is explained, including its basic rules, then his finger is pricked with a needle by the officiating member. A few drops of blood are spilled on a card bearing the likeness of a saint, the card is set on fire, and finally, while the card is passed rapidly from hand to hand to avoid burns, the novice takes an oath of loyalty to the Mafia family A variation on this oath is "As burns this saint, so will burn my soul. I enter alive and I will have to get out dead." ] which were given by them of old [ The oaths and rituals are not new. They have been passed down from thousands of years, from the devil himself. It must be remembered that the definition of an “oath” is a ‘cutting’ or symbol of death. It can be seen in Moses that these oaths that Cain knew were used and then instituted by Satan in the secret oaths and combinations. This could only be done because Cain had at one time participated in covenant making with his father, and knew and understood the penalties, the oath process and the consequences of the breaking of a covenant. ] who also sought power, which had been handed down even from Cain, [ Who was taught by Satan himself. Moses 5:25. ] who was a murderer from the beginning.

16 And they [ These secret oaths and combinations. ] were kept up by the power of the devil [ Notice who is the keeper of them. ] to administer these oaths unto the people, [ There is a difference between ‘oath and covenant’ and ‘oaths and combinations.’ A ‘covenant’ is a promise of obedience and is made with God; it is between the covenant maker and God himself. Only two individuals are party to this covenant making process: God and the initiate. Salvation is an individual accomplishment, not a collective responsibility. Thus, collective righteousness or wickedness has no bearing on the eternal salvation of the individual. In the covenant between Man and God, the 'oath' implies that the covenant and promise of obedience is more sacred and important than death; not that he should lose his life if the covenant is broken. In contrast, a ‘combination’ exists between a group of people or a mass of individuals. This covenant combination is one of secrecy rather than sacredness and is administered to the masses and secured by oath for the protection of the ‘combination’. The oath and covenant of the priesthood is something that takes place between God and the individual as all must work out their own salvation. The oath and combination is for the benefit of the group. Each are collectively bound by the “oath.” The Covenant “oath” with God is one of sacrifice in similitude of the Only Begotten of the Father. The “combination and oath” administered by Satan include the symbols of the penalties for disobedience ("swear by their head and throats that they tell it not"), which is death. ] to keep them in darkness, to help such as sought power to gain power, and to murder, and to plunder, and to lie, and to commit all manner of wickedness and whoredoms. [ So here we have the purpose of these oaths is identified. ]

17 And it was the daughter of Jared who put it into his heart to search up these things of old; and Jared put it into the heart of Akish; wherefore, Akish administered it unto his kindred and friends, leading them away by fair promises to do whatsoever thing he desired.

18 And it came to pass that they formed a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God; [ Why is a secret combination most abominable in God's eyes? Done in secret, done by an oath, usually is shrouded in death if betrayed, usually involves the taking of life for power or property. ]

19 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations, [ The Lord does his work in the open. So what is one of the signs that we can use to discover a secret combination? If it is done in secret, hidden, not in the light of day. ] neither doth he will that man should shed blood, but in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man.

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people, and they are had among the Lamanites.

21  And they [ The secret combinations. ] have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking, and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, [ Do you think that we have secret combinations in government today? ] to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; [ So if we have secret combinations today then it does not speak to well for our future does it. Moroni has witnessed the entire destruction of his nation and people. ] for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, [ Where does this suggest that the secret combinations will eventually head? To the saints, they will eventually end up using the combinations to prosecute the saints when they have gained enough power. Remember that satan is at the head of these designs and his ultimate goal is to destroy the church and man. ] shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, [ Moroni is talking to the latter day church in United States of America. ] it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, [ The power and purpose of the secret combinations. You see if you know what they are then you can try to defend yourself against them, or at least be aware of them so you do not get sucked up in them. How do we get sucked up in the agenda of the secret combinations? Or How do these secret combinations "seduce" the public to obtain power over the people and then the government? See Hel 6:38 Once you by into their social entitlements you are hooked. People tend to vote selfishly rather than righteously. Satan the first socialist, focuses on the selfish attitudes of the "natural man" who will more often than not take the easy way, the one that does not require thought or effort. This is an exact opposite of the offer that Christ makes which focuses om the potential of success or failure based on choice and our personal accountability for each. Remember that the government who promises to give you everything also has to have the power to take everything from you - It is a hard cold fact. Do we sometimes we jump on a cause and say it sounds like a great cause without knowing the real agenda - follow the money? Do we become pawns or tools in such organizations? Do we fail to do the real work to uncover that which the groups is really fighting for? The real agenda may not have been the same cause that we thought that we were supporting. For example in 2020 there was quite an uproar in the land, Everyone was joining the Black Lives Matter movement. I wonder how many of those that posted support for the organization really went to the website to see what they were looking to do. Here is a post of what was on the main page of that site - to defund the police. Now I wonder hope many people knew that was one of the purposes of the organization? Maybe they did, but how many might not have jumped on board if they knew that. Just a thought. See Isaiah 44: 18 Their eyes are glazed so they cannot see, their minds are incapable or discernment. ] that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—a [ The reason why these secret combinations exist in the first place. (Deep State reasons for) ] and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be. [ See D&C 101. God set this country up with a constitution that would let his work move forward. If we are not careful and let that get overtaken by the secret combinations then destruction is emmenant. If this happens then the only way to set things back will be at some the Lord will have to bring forth other warriors from somewhere else to put things back the way he intends(The return of the Lost Ten Tribes). ]

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, [ So this is not a suggestion here - rather it is a command. ] when [ Latter-day Americans. It is not if you do see these things, but it is when you do see them. Remember Moroni has seen our day. So he knows full well they will happen. ] ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation,[ What things? See vs 22-23 Secret combinations to get power and gain. What is the awful situtation? That that nation is ripe for destruction. ] because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, [ The secret combinations. ] because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they [ The blood of those that have been slain as a result of secret combinations. ] cry from the dust [ Because they are dead and have a voice no more. ] for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up. [ A voice of warning that those who are involved in secret combinations that their time is limited. God will soon take over. ]

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up< [ These secret combinations. ] seeketh [ The purpose of them. ] to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; [ Again here is the definition by Moroni here of the purpose and plan of the forth kingdom that is raised up. These ten horns tha Daniel and John saw, they are seeking to take over the government of the entire world and then eventually the freedom of man. So here is the warning from Moroni that these secret combinations are designed to over through the freedom of all people and all nations of the world. Without freedom they are brought into bondage by the leaders of the secret combinations. Are we not living that today? President Benson at the conclusion of the Oct 1988 General conference said: "I testify that wickedness is rapidly expanding in every segment of our society. (See D&C 1:14–16; D&C 84:49–53.) It is more highly organized, more cleverly disguised, and more powerfully promoted than ever before. Secret combinations lusting for power, gain, and glory are flourishing. A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries is increasing its evil influence and control over America and the entire world...I testify that as the forces of evil increase under Lucifer’s leadership and as the forces of good increase under the leadership of Jesus Christ, there will be growing battles between the two until the final confrontation. As the issues become clearer and more obvious, all mankind will eventually be required to align themselves either for the kingdom of God or for the kingdom of the devil. As these conflicts rage, either secretly or openly, the righteous will be tested. God’s wrath will soon shake the nations of the earth and will be poured out on the wicked without measure. (See JS—H 1:45; D&C 1:9.) But God will provide strength for the righteous and the means of escape; and eventually and finally truth will triumph. (See 1 Ne. 22:15–23.)" ] and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, [ Who is the leader the designer? The devil. So it is the devil then we know that it is not according to God's will. The interesting thing is what and how is he doing his work here? Well he is doing the same thing that he proposed in the war in heaven, he is destroying the agency of man. ] , who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, [ Suggesting that he used the same tactics with Adam and Eve that he uses with the secret combinations. ] yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; [ Cain and Able. ] who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things [ So the Lord told him that he needed to write down these things as a warning to those in the future that see them. Or in hopes that we will look for them that we might be better prepared. ] that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.
