On a recient trip to San Francisco as I was down along the Pier it was noticed take the once proud and mighty pelican. A bird with a wing span of nearly {} and the power to swoop from the sky and pull a 5-10 pound fish from the water as if nothing had happened...picture have you ever seen the pelican as the fly just at the crest of a wave diving into the wave and comming out with a fish pretty awesome sight. These pelicans at the peer could no longer fly.it was apparent as people would chase them one even had its beek cut of by some warped person...but it was obvious that they had lost much of the power that they had...some further checking yielded the fact that the reason that they could no longer fly was due to the fact that they had become lazy, complacient looking for the dole without the work required. They just went around picking up food from the peer. The fact that they had been living in such an environment for so long they ahd not exercised their powerful wings in so long of time that when they needed to fly they had lost their strength..
